Cates process a number of pulse varieties and offer a wide range of products to food wholesalers throughout New Zealand.
Some of the best quality pulses are grown in Canterbury and are in high demand both domestically and internationally for their strong nutritional value, shape and form.
Our specialties include:
We machine dress and split blue peas (otherwise known as green split peas).
We also process white peas into pea flour and split peas (also known as yellow split peas). This is done locally from Canterbury grown products.
Cates also mill for pea flour and/or kibble which is all processed locally.
In addition to processing pulses we also provide Linseed for the bakery and stock food markets and crush it for the local healthfood market.
